I've been picking up food here for over 10 years, and it is by far my favorite local Chinese joint. The food is generous and the price is very reasonable.
It seems like every other Chinese place cooks their food the exact same way, not Shanghai. I always test an Italian Restaurant with their chicken parm and I always test a Chinese place with their Hunan Chicken and egg rolls. Here you have an excellent spicy Hunan Chicken prepared simply... No giant undercooked pieces of bell pepper or baby corn or canned mushrooms, the chicken and broccoli are the highlight and the delicious Hunan sauce. Their General Tso is also excellent, crispy chicken in a spicy sauce (that doesn't resemble a toxic red ooze like most places). Egg rolls and fried rice are also simple and done right. Another highlight is the staff, the owner/manager lady is always very friendly and knows the orders of the regulars by heart. I've tried every local Chinese restaurant at least once, but I always find my way back here.
